So in the spirit of quick posts, while I'm away writing for a zillion other companies and brands, which I promise to write about soon, I'm telling you about three of these wicked campaigns. First up, the choice of best campaign as selected by my buddy.
He has a penchant for cat videos, and really, who doesn't.
This campaign encourages you to be more dog. This ad is entertaining, it's got a big soundtrack, and cats.
Everything my friend needs in a video. What it doesn't have, is a product description.
Moreover, when you go to the website bemoredog.com it offers you a quick quiz to see how much of a dog you are.
This ad campaign is cute and clever. It's for cell phones in the UK, but you don't know that until you get into the site. And you MUST go to the site, just to find out where this awesomeness came from.

Video No. 2 is just as good as the Be More Dog video and for a lot of the same reasons.
It too features a wise cat, there's no overt message about a product, and uses humour as its main vehicle to get you to visit a website.

This hilarious ad for John St. Advertising in Toronto was hugely innovative two years ago and holds up today.
As they say over the building soundtrack, "Nobody wants to see ads anymore. They want cat videos."
Followed by, "Ask yourself; what can cat videos do for your business?"
Well, based on these three ads, I'd say there's not much cat videos can't do for your marketing strategy.
